Dazor - Magnifying Lamp Page 2
Stretch-View Magnifiers
The rectangular shaped lens of our Stretch View magnifying lamps "stretches" the
5-inch circular viewing area of a typical magnifying lamp to 6.75" x 4.25". This wider viewing area allows for comfortable vision with both eyes and reduces eyestrain
and fatigue while increasing visual scanning speed because more surface area is
magnified. To improve its vision enhancement characteristics further, these magnifiers
use a powerful 18-watt compact fluorescent light (included) to produce 130 footcandles
at 15-inches above the work surface. Exact positioning of the light source behind
the lens allows for a choice between even, shadow-free illumination or a hi-lighting
effect.

Lighting Options

Exact positioning of the source behind the lens allows for a
choice between even, shadow-free illumination or
a hi-lighting effect. Shadow-free
viewing is achieved
by holding the object directly
under the light while a hi-lighting effect is
produced
when the object is moved slightly
away from the center of the light source.
